The City that proudly proclaims it is the
"birthplace of the civil rights movement"
still works for nonviolence.
The Alabama Capitol Building showed the exhibit,
speakpeace, http://www.speakpeace.net/TravelingExhibit.aspx
of American poets and Vietnamese children's paintings,
close to photos of the hundreds of
Alabama service men and women who died in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The exhibit included the poem Epistemology, by Ed Higgins,
which was also in our 2007 Search For Peace exhibit:
